Edward Berry McGowan

Edward Berry McGowan, 50, of Trumann passed away Monday, May 26 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born in Jonesboro and had lived in Trumann his entire lifetime. He was a farmer, of the Baptist faith and a member of Farm Bureau.

He is survived by two sisters, Hazel Clem and Bertha McGowan both of Trumann and one brother, Vernon H. McGowan, Jr. of Southaven, Miss.

Visitation was Tuesday, May 27 at Gregg Funeral Home. Funeral services were Wednesday, May 28 in the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Westmoreland and Rev. Paul Hale officiating. Burial followed at Herman Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Jimmy Bishop, Ricky Dillinger, Gary Moss, Keith Nichols, Kim Osment and Doug Winningham. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Barker, Gene Benson, Dennis Cantrell, A.J. Clem, Doyle Clem, Michael Clem, James Hooker, Jimmy Moon, Jr., Ottie Qualls, John Stuckey, Hal Vick, Roy Wilson, Tommy Wilson, Larry Henderson and Brent Henderson.

Memorials can be made to the First General Baptist Church, 15821 Promised Lane North, Trumann, Ark. 72472.
