Mrs. Norma Jean Fowler Norwood, 66, of Bay passed away August 31, 2003 at the Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro due to natural causes.

Mrs. Norwood was born on August 31, 1937, in Harrisburg, Ark., and had lived in Bay for the past 36 years. She was a housewife and member of the Bay First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one step-son, Arlis E. Norwood, two brothers and her parents.

Mrs. Norwood is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Norwood of the home; one daughter, Teri Norwood of the home; two step-daughters, Wanda Moss of Trumann and Christine Speakman of Pocahontas, Ark.; one step-son, Thomas E. Norwood of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one brother, Glen Cole Sr. of Bay; and two grandsons, Dustin Norwood and Dylan Norwood both of the home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 2, 2003, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Bill Passmore officiating. The burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Terry Fowler, Danny Fowler, Shawn Fowler, David Cole, Joey Cole, Teddy Cole, Camron Cambell and Wayne Hogan.
