Ruben Oscar Goucher, 80, of Trumann, passed away Friday, October 17, 2003, at his residence.

Mr. Goucher lived in Trumann fourteen years. He was formerly of Little Rock, Ark, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Goucher is survived by his wife, Jeanette Sutton Goucher of the home; four daughters, Carolyn Heckman of Bay, Glenda Dudek of Belliville, Mich., Janiece Daniel of West Memphis, Ark., JoAnn Goucher of Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, Ted Goucher of Payneway, Ark., Nelson Goucher of Trumann and John Goucher of Leander, Texas; one sister, Inez Parrish of Michigan City, Indiana; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 20, 2003, at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel in Jonesboro, with Rev. Bill Passmore officiating. The burial followed at Marked Tree Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Brian Heckman, Heath Heckman, Danny Hughey, Lee Carter, Donald Wagner and Jeremy Sutton. Gerald Sutton was an honorary pallbearer.
