Mr. Toddy was born in Waldenburg and was a resident of Trumann for 56 years before moving to Jonesboro after his retirement. Mr. Toddy was retired from the Singer Furniture Company and Reliance Finishing Company and of the Baptist belief.
Mr. Toddy is survived by his wife, Norma Toddy of the home; one daughter, Kay McClung of Rector, Ark.; one son, Rick Toddy of Trumann; one step-daughter, Deborah Appleby of Jonesboro; sister, Faye "Sissy" Dowless of Lake City, Ark.; and eight grandchildren, Greg, McClung, Heath McClung, Stacy Toddy, Matt McClung, Starla Toddy, Courtney Toddy, Jessica Appleby, Sarah Appleby; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 20, 2003, at the First General Baptist Church in Trumann with Pastor Kevin Watkins and Rick Toddy officiating. The burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers were Rick Toddy, Mike Timms, James Pagan, David Fletcher, Wendell Fletcher and Duel Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers were Quention Fletcher and Bill Cole.
