Inez Harper Young

Mrs. Inez Harper Young of Bay passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at the family residence due to natural causes. She was 73 years old.

Mrs. Young was born in Cleburne, Co., Ala., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann before moving to Bay three years ago. She was a housewife and member of the Highway Valley Pentecostal Church near Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herman Young in 1995; two daughters, two sons, four sisters, five brothers and was the daughter of the late Melvin James and Minnie Pearlee Harris Harper.

Mrs. Young is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Betty Philp of Shvlin, Minn., Mrs. Mary Hanna, Mrs. Susie Carter and Mrs. Frances Frazier, all of Trumann, and Mrs. Shirley Rorex and Mrs. Doris Golden both of Bay; one son, Jimmy Ledbetter of McMinnville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Kilgore of Fruithurst, Ala.; two brothers, Bobby Harmer of Trumann and James Harper of Fisher.; 19 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Rhoads officiating. The burial followed at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Michael Wagner, Matthew Wagner, Danny Floyd, Jessie Floyd, Michael Calhoun, Jeremy Wilson, Arthur Mason and Jason Wilson.
