Born at Koshkonong, Mo., he was a retired farmer and member of First Assembly of God at Harrisburg. He was a World War II Army veteran and member of Masonic Lodge No. 693 in Trumann.
Survivors include his wife, Era Thelma Copeland Secrease of the home; one son, Roy Ed Secrease of Harrisburg; two daughters, Dorris Carter and Joan Cuzzort, both of Harrisburg; two sisters, Wanda Lee Secrease of Wynne and Frankie Booth of Moko; six brothers, Clay Secrease and Ted Secrease, both of Trumann, Shannon Secrease of Groveland, Fla., Neal Secrease and Harold Secrease, both of West Plains, Mo., and Roy Secrease of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Franklin Secrease; his parents;, one brother; two sisters and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 4, at First Assembly of God Church in Harrisburg, with Terry Newman and Wanda Secrease officiating. Burial followed in Bolivar Cemetery under the direction of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Rodney Secrease, James Secrease, Randy Secrease, Vance Secrease, Clark Secrease, Terry Harkey, Bubba Carter, Jimmy New and John Lancaster.
Great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
