Born at Leachville, she was a 1952 graduate of Trumann High School and later became a bookkeeper and secretary for the family-owned Dungan Furniture Co. in Trumann. During her years in Trumann she also operated a child day-care facility. She also worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for Costner Farms and was a member of the Trumann Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Tracie Dungan of Springdale and Tammie Harper of West Plains, Mo.; three stepsons, Wells Miller Dungan and Mike Dungan, both of Trumann, and Gary Dungan of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Van Swink of Manila; two sisters, Sue Smithson of Trumann and Dorothy Loveless of West Memphis; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Dungan, and her parents, J. L. and Elna Swink.
Graveside services were Dec. 16, 2003, in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
