Funeral services for Lafayette Preston, 89, of Bay who died Friday, Dec. 19, at his residence, were Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Bay United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Winberry will officiate and burial will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Langford's Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Scott, William Davis, Jeff Preston, Tommy Hoozer, Jim Moore, Danny Cox, Kenny Vestal and Bratt Scott.

Born at Dryden, he was a retired farmer and member of the Bay United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Preston of Bay; two daughters, Shirley Finch of Nesbit, Miss., and Frances Price of Jonesboro; one sister, Elsie Cox of Jonesboro; one brother, Charles Preston of Bay; four grandchildren, Gary Mills, Greg Mills, Wayne Finch and Jamie Lewis; and four great-grandchildren.
