Delphia Raye Kain Smith

Delphia Raye Kain Smith, 91, of Trumann died Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Regional Medical Center of NEA.

Born in Lake City, she had lived in Paragould before moving to Trumann 33 years ago. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal beliefs.

She is survived by three daughters, JoAnn Angel of Yuma, Ariz., Elaine Brecheen of Trumann and Sandra Dobbins of Doniphan, Mo.; five sons, D.C. "Teen" Smith of Lake Providence, La., Gerald Smith of Harrisburg, Jackie Smith and Larry Smith, both of Trumann, and Ray Smith of Calimesa, Calif.; two brothers, Rufus Kain of Florida and Richard Kain of Apple Valley, Calif.; 35 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cletis Smith, two daughters, three sons, her parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann, with the Rev. Vernon Barnes officiating. Burial followed in Holly Springs Cemetery at Harrisburg.
