Clarence "Gene" Moore, 87, of Bay died Thursday, Jan. 8, at Regional Medical Center of NEA.

Born in what was then the Nettleton community, he was a Baptist and a retired custodian for the Nettleton School District. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include three daughters, Nema Jean Bagley of Jonesboro, Lillian Rush of Bay and Sandra Lee Livingston of Oran, Mo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Lee and Lilly Flowers Moore; a son, Charles Thomas Moore; four sisters; a brother; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 11, at Gregg Funeral Home chapel in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Burial followed in Nettleton Cemetery at Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Johnny Moore, Neal Moore, Billy Hannah, Randy Hannah, Gene Counce and James Counce.
