He was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Trumann to the late William Louis Bushong Sr. and Gracie shepherd Bushong. He was a heavy equipment operator and member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Greenbrier.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; six daughters, Tracy Fortner and Shannon Meeks, both of Greenbrier, Nancy Yarrington, Cathy Thompson, both of Michigan, Sandra Gomez of California and Connie Bushong of Arizona; six sons, Paul, Donnie and Ronnie, all of Conway, William Bushong III and Vincent, both of California, and Johnny of Missouri; a step-father, Arlen Hervey of Trumann; a sister, Louise Lane of Trumann; a brother, Carlee Bushong of Greenbrier; 30 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gracie Bushong.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Roller-McNutt Greenbrier Chapel with the Rev. Paul Mize officiating. Pallbearers were Paul Bushong, William Bushong III, Jimmy Kingbury, Donny Fortner, Michael Lane and Carlee Bushong.
