Funeral services for Lloyd Paul Brewer, 81, of Jonesboro, who died Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Regional Medical Center of NEA, were held Friday, Feb. 27, at Emerson Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

The Rev. Jim Rupard officiated, and burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Fred Frego, Tim Frego, John Frego, Tom Chester, Chris George and Jay Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers included Earnest Stracener, Calvin Lard and Richard Goad.

Born in Bay, he was a lifelong resident of the Jonesboro area. He worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for 27 years and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Brewer of the home; one son, Bill Nowell of Casa Grande, Ariz.; one daughter, Linda Goad of Jonesboro; two brothers, O.V. Brewer of Watervliet, Mich., and Virgil Brewer of St. Louis; two sisters, Ethel Faulkenberry of Bay and Mattie Smith of Higginson; and two grandchildren, Jacob Goad and Lauren Goad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Minnie Brewer, two sisters and two brothers.
