Delores Irene "Dee" Barnes, 68, of Trumann died Sunday, Feb. 29, at Regional Medical Center of NEA.

Born in Olathe, Kan., she had lived in Dinuba, Calif., before moving to Trumann in 1991. She was a housewife and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Tulot.

Survivors include her husband, Buel E. Barnes of the home; two daughters, Casey Jean Smith of San Jose, Calif., and Laura Vaz of Riverdale, Calif.; five sons, Don Boyd Jr. of Coral Springs, Fla., Robert Lewis Boyd of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ronnie Barnes of Killeen, Texas, Eddie Barnes of Texas and Terry Barnes of Lumberton, Texas; two sisters, E. Darlene Overbeck of Easton, Penn., and Barbara Wasson of Tucson, Ariz..; a brother, Robert Bell of Sultana, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicky Lynn Boyd, and her parents.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland, with the Rev. Paul Peters, the Rev. Gerald Vickers and the Rev. Tommy Jordan officiating. Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann was in charge of the arrangements.
