Dessie Harvey

Funeral services for Dessie Harvey, 89, of Trumann, who died Thursday, April 1, at St. Bernard's Medical Center, were Sunday, April 4, at the Church of God of Prophecy, 3505 Race St., Jonesboro.

The Rev. Gerald Vickers officiated, and burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland. Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.

Born at Lake City, she had lived there and in Trumann most of her life and was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Harvey of Trumann and James Harvey of Roland, Okla.; four daughters, O'Dean Easley and Patsy Hotchkiss, both of Jonesboro, Maxine Strictland of Quincy, Ill., and Wilma Louis Stotts of Trumann; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Thomas Harvey; two sons, Vaughn Harvey and Tommy Harvey; and two daughters, Betty Jean Gray and Patricia Ann Coats.

Active pallbearers included Jerry Easley, Danny Easley, Freddy Easley, David Easley, Curt Newton and Derek Easley.

Honorary pallbearers included Adam Harvey, James Harvey Jr., Jonathan Harvey, Nathan Hotchkiss and Paul Coats.
