Funeral services for James Elbert "Bud" Presley Jr., 40, of Jonesboro, who died Monday, April 5, at his residence, were held Wednesday, April 7, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.

The Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan and the Rev. Bobby Brooks officiated, and burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marty Brooks, Earl J. Owens, Shannon Owens, Matthew Tyler Bullock, Terry Dean Vaughn, Tim Haggerty, Lee Jackson and Joey Carter.

Born in Trumann, he had lived in Trumann most of his life, moving to Jonesboro four years ago. He was employed by Thomas & Betts and was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Trumann.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Presley of the home; two daughters, Marisa Presley and Maranda Lawrence, both of Jonesboro; his parents, Effie Lois Presley and James E. Presley, both of Trumann; six sisters, Ann Owens, Linda Gregory, Marsha Mars and Karen Gregory, all of Trumann, Shelia Haggerty of Toledo, Ohio, and Gearldine Barnes of Marked Tree; and three brothers, Bobby Gene Presley of Jonesboro, George Presley of Trumann and Jimmy Presley of Proctor.

He was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
