Born in Wrightsville, he lived in Trumann for 64 years, moving there from Marked Tree. He was a retired block inspector for Singer in Trumann and a member of Trumann Revival Center Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile Kyle of the home; two sons, Jimmy Kyle of Bloomingdale, Ga., and Gerald Kyle of Vanzant, Mo.; three daughters, Irene Chandler of Trumann, Doris Shelly of Memphis and Janus Holt of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Vester Kyle, and one daughter, Reba Jean Kyle.
Funeral services were Monday, April 19, at Trumann Revival Center with the Rev. Kenneth Doke and the Rev. Frank Hardwick officiating. Burial followed in Nettleton Cemetery at Jonesboro.
Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann was in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers were Ken Chandler, Mike Chandler, Shane Kyle and Brian Malone.
J.P. Madden served as honorary pallbearer.
