Kelly Leroy Benson, 45, of Harrisburg died Sunday, May 2, at his residence.

Born in Harrisburg, he was a lifelong resident of that community. He worked as a machine operator for Poinsett County and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Leroy and Letty Faye Benson, both of Harrisburg, and his grandmother, Emma Jean Langston of Jonesboro.

Funeral services were Tuesday, April 4, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Bobby Russell and Lee Reeves officiated, and burial followed in Holly Springs Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Mark Loggins, Kip Peeler, Donny Hatcher, Phillip Langston, Jimmy Langston and Douglas Langston.

Honorary pallbearers were Gerald Benson, Johnny Langston, John Benson, Terry Langston, Charles Loggins and Terry Benson.
