Helen Culbreath

Funeral services for Helen Culbreath, 77, of Trumann, who died Friday, June 11, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, were Tuesday, June 15 in the chapel of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro, the Rev. Joel McMasters and the Rev. Gene Hogan officiated. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Tony Parnell, Matt Parnell, Scott Taylor, Charles Brewer, Lyle Kennedy and Ron Swindle.

Honorary pallbearers were Hi Hamilton, Chester McGough, Leonard Holt, Johnny Goodman, Danny Moss, Leonard Knight, Freddie Farmer, Miles Evans, Dr. Floyd A. Smith Jr. and Dr. Donald Guinn.

She was born in Trumann and had lived in Trumann and Bay all her life. She was a homemaker and member of the Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one sister, Bertha Swindle of Trumann; one brother, E.S. Cockrum, Jr. of Jonesboro; three daughters, Lawanda Waters of Trumann, Carolyn Parnell and Joyce Brewer, both of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Stacey Kennedy, Tony Parnell, Scott Taylor, Matt Parnell, Chadda Brewer, Charles Brewer and Lindsey Brewer and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M.G. Culbreath; her parents, E.S. Cockrum, Sr. and Mary Swindle Cockrum and one brother.
