He was born in Alabama and had lived most of his life in Trumann. He was a retired factory worker, veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy Cox and his parents Walter Edgar and Mattie Lee Stevens Dobbins.
He is survived by one sister, Opal Pippinger of Trumann and two brothers, Sam Dobbins of Harrisburg and Leroy Dobbins of Trumann.
Funeral services were Saturday, July 3 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Bill Lyles, James Edward Dobbins, Jimmy Dobbins, Robert Pippinger, Doty Reed and Robert Holt. Honorary pallbearers were J.W. Dobbins, Jerry Pippinger, Ricky Dobbins and Adon Cox.
