Geneva Faye Gilbert, 55, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, June 29 at her residence.

She was born in Dyess and had lives in Bay before moving to Jonesboro 14 years ago. She had worked at Demo's BBQ and was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Sweeney and her mother Cybil Fondron Sweeney.

She is survived by her husband, Donny Gilbert of the home; three sons, Scotty Hellums of Pontotoc, Mx., Daniel Hellums of Trumann and Michael Hellums of Dyess; one brother, Buddy Sweeney of Kennett, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Sutton of Lahoma, Ok. and six grandchildren, Scott Allen Hellums, Darren Hellums, Sabra Hellums, Amber Hellums, Michael Hellums and Blake Hellums.

Funeral services were Friday, July 2 in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Larry Merrell officiating.

Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Melton Byerly, Scotty Hellums, Larry Gilbert, Bob Ryan, Darren Hellums and Randy Seale.
