Dollie Mae New, 97, of Trumann passed away Saturday, July 24 at the Trumann Health and Rehab Center in Trumann of natural causes.

She was born in Mountain View and was a lifelong resident of Trumann. She was a housewife and of the Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd New; two sisters; eight brothers and her parents, Charles and Riney Holt Woods.

She was survived by two daughters, Ella Mae Hoffman of Jonesboro and Shirley Richardson of Trumann, seven sons, JL New of La Porte, Ind., Billy New, Jerry, New and Larry New all of Jonesboro, Bobby New of Bay Village and Harry New and Buddy New, both of Trumann; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 27 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Elder Rick Hansen officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Bobby New, Jr., Richard New, Jimmy New, Jim Armstrong, Jimmy Moore, Mike Steele and C.J. new. Honorary pallbearers were Cletis Rogers and Davon Rogers.
