George W. Bennett, 72, of Tampa, Fla. passed away on July 7.

Mr. Bennett was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam, retiring as a master sergeant. He worked 31 years in the filed of home repair and was a 1952 graduate of Trumann High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Edith Bennett.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine; seven children, Barry Bennett, Thomas Bennett, Richard Bennett, Sandra Cape, Beth Carey, David Bennett and Evan Bennett; one sister, Betty Funk; 17 grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were July 9 at the Citrus Park Church of Christ, Tampa, of which he was a member.
