Dessie F. Knight, 92, of Bay passes away Sunday July 29 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and a native of Faulkner County. Her two great passions in life were caring for her family and sharing her Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, WB (Barlow) and Laura Weaver Martin; her husband, Herbert Henry Knight; on son, James Knight; two grandchildren, Tim Knight and Kendra Smith; one daughter-in-law, Bobbie Knight; three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by five sons, Charles Knight and wife, Emma of Trumann, Herbert Knight of Paragould, Ray Knight and wife, Rachel of Nashville, Tenn., Ted Knight and wife, Barbara of Conway and Jack Knight and wife, Gina of Bay; two daughters, Linda Dix of Bay and Lara Belew and husband Jewell of Ocean Springs, Miss.; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and loved ones.

Funeral services were Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at the Bay Church of Christ with Ted Knight, Marty Knight, Lane Dix, Richard Knight and Ray Knight officiating. Interment followed at Nettleton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were her grandsons and honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons.
