He was born at Weona and had lived most of his life in Trumann. He was a meat cutter for Price Chopper and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Veronica Charlene Gross of Memphis and Autumn Leef Camper of West Memphis; two sisters, Majanet McBurnett of North Little Rock and Manzanita Hickman of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley A. and Frances Elizabeth Nichols Smith; one sister; and two brothers.
Burial will be private and there will be no visitation.
