Born in Buena Vista, Tenn., she moved to Bay at the age of 3 and lived most of her life there. She graduated from Bay High School and was retired from Jonesboro City Water and Light, where she worked for 41 years as a credit manager until 1995.
She was a member of the Broadway Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a treasurer and pianist.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Holt of the home; a daughter, Tracey McMasters of Bay; a sister, Juanita Skaggs of Ash Flat; and a granddaughter, Hayley Morgan Overbay of Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Jo Holt Overbay, and her parents, Otis and Sallie Elkins.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel, with Michael Willard and Joel McMasters officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers included Brett Scott, Michael Ashlock, Brandy Scott, Barry Skaggs, Curtis Farmer and Scott Rush.
Honorary pallbearers included Mickey Bridger, former and current employees of Jonesboro City, Water and Light; and employees of the ASU Information Technology Department.
