Sylvia Dexter McMahan, 89, of Trumann, died Friday, Oct. 8, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Mrs. McMahan was born in Miss. and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retired nurse for Rose Care Nursing Center and a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. McMahan was preceded in death by her husband, Van McMahan in 1969; one granddaughter; two sisters; two brother and was the daughter of the late Fred and Louella Province Dexter.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dr. Jim Shaw officiating. Burial followed at Nettleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Paul Nichols, Christopher Sparks, David Moore, Charles Deloach, Robin Bishop and Todd McMahan.
