Alton Wayne Milligan

Alton Wayne Milligan, 78, of Trumann passes away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at the family residence of natural causes.

He was born in Leachville and had lived in Trumann since 1947. he was a retired electrician, a member of IBEW Local 1516 in Jonesboro, a veteran of the United States Navy of Ward War II and a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, CM Claude and Josie Swink Milligan and three brothers, Curt Milligan, Dewayne Milligan and J.C. Milligan.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Milligan of the home; one daughter, Marsha Phillips of the home; one son, Phillip Milligan of Dallas, Tex.; two grandchildren, Chad Wayne Phillips of Trumann and Nikki Phillips of Trumann; two sisters, Bonnie Hazelwood of Trumann and Geraldine McDaniel of Watervelit, Mich. and great-granddaughter, Breanna Phillips of Trumann.

Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Rev. Tad Rogers and Bro. Bud Stahl officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Barry Hazelwood, Kevin Hazelwood, Myles Milligan, Alton Milligan, Mark McDaniel and Joe Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers were JP Penter, James Moon, James Paul McDaniel, Gerald Speakman, Floyd Walton, Wayne Waters, Bob White, Donald Trentham, Bill Teague and Jimmy Kincaid.

Memorial can be made to the First Baptist Church in Trumann.
