She was born in Pleasant Plains and had lives most her life in Trumann. She was retired from the Singer Company and a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie A. Jones; two brothers; three sisters and her parents, James Stroud and Ethel Mae Jackson Hawkins.
She is survived by one son, Willie Jones of Trumann; one sister, Winnie Pry of Weona; two grandchildren, Ray Jones and Sherri Southerland and seven, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2004 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ray Jones, Tommy Jones, Elbert Lewis Jones, Sr., Elbert Lewis Jones, Jr., Terry Webb and Doyle Hillis.
