George William White

George William White, 82, of Trumann passes away on Nov. 5, 2004 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro of natural causes.

He was born in Elkmont, Ala. and had lived most of his life in Trumann. He was a retired farmer and employee of the Singer Company and was associated with Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. He was a veteran of the US Army and World War II, a member of the Masonic Lodge #693, Eastern Star of Trumann and member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Taylor; one sister, Eva Mae Shomaker; two brothers, Millard Boyd White, Jr. and Garland Eugene White and his parents, Millard and Ovie Mae Duggar White.

Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 7 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Bill Maxwell officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were: Jodie Kent, Patrick Patterson, John Thompson, Leah Thompson, Chad Baker, Jim Baker and Jeff Patterson. Honorary pallbearers were the men's Sunday school class at Central Missionary Baptist Church.
