He was born in Lake City and had lived in the Valley View Community for 45 years and was formerly of the Bay and Lunsford areas. He was a Baptist and retired from General Electric, a veteran of the US Army World War II, a graduate of Trumann High School, former Boy Scout Leader and charter member of the Valley View Ruitan Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Jean Glasgow; daughter, Jackie Glasgow; his parents, Lowell Russell and Effie Bruce Glasgow and two brothers.
He is survived by one brother, Bruce Glasgow of Jonesboro; two sons, Willard Mitchell of Anchorage, Alaska and Terry Lee Glasgow of Jonesboro; two daughters, Ann Keller of Jonesboro and Marsha Jolliff of Slidell, La.; nine grandchildren, Amy Elk, Aric Keller, Danica Enyart, Adryan Glasgow, Brandy Jolliff, Whitney Jolliff, Bron Glasgow, Tracie Fletcher and Morgan Glasgow and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Aric Keller, Bron Glasgow, Tommy Elkins, Tom Kirksay, Clayton Fletcher and John Elk. Honorary pallbearers were LaDrew Rudkin, Homer Harp, Leon Kirksey, Russell Hendrix, Steve Jolliff, Allen Keller, Hardy Mitchell, Haige Mitchell, Wayne Mitchell, Hugh Hardin, Bryan Sutterfield, Wayne Stoner and Mike Wallace.
