She was born in Hickory Ridge and had lived her life in Trumann. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd R. Burton; her first husband, Mack H. Smith; three children, James Smith, Melba Stevens and Lucian Smith; three sisters; three brothers and her parents Ed and Arizona Cook Wilcockson.
She is survived by one daughter, Denita Martin of Mountain View; two brothers, Bobby Smith and Jerry Smith, both of Trumann; one sister, Iwanda Lane of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2004 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Burial followed at Rock Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Stevens, Edward Mullins, Eric Mullins and Jerry Smith.
