Willie Kathleen Griffith

Willie Kathleen Griffith, 88, of Bay passed away on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 at the Craighead County Nursing Center where she had resided for the past five years.

She was born in Dalton and had lived most of her life in the Bay area. She was retired from Clean Services, Inc. of Jonesboro, a member of the Bay Church of Christ, member of the Bay Quilting Club and active in the Bay Senior Citizens Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Griffith; her parents, Raymond and Disa Rickman Cochram; a brother, Joe Cochran and one sister, Bessie Roach.

She is survived by one son, Brooks Griffith of Jonesboro; five daughters, Helen Gray of West Memphis, Margie Moon and Judy Hogan, both of Trumann and Betty Moon and Brenda Griffith, both of Bay; one brother, Paul Cochran of Michigan City, In.; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with David Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers include, Verlon Spencer, Aaron Fults, Howard Grisham, Lonnie Reeves and Paul Spencer. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Stone, Roy Byrd, Craig Moon, Larry Moon and Roosevelt Spencer.

Lasting memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Alzheimers Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
