James Elbert "Bulldog" Presley

James Elbert "Bulldog" Presley, 80, of Trumann passed away on Feb. 8, 2005 at the family residence of natural causes.

He was born in Trumann and lived here for the duration of his life. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Great Dane Trailer Mfg. and a member of the Trumann Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Presley; his parents, Jessie Caswell and Lourie Mae Bradley Presley; one son, James "Bud" Presley; three brothers, J.C. Presley, Willie Presley and Roy Presley and one sister, Erma Presley Mayville.

He is survived by six daughters, Ann Owens, Marsha Mars, Linda Gregory and Karen Gregory, all of Trumann, Geraldine Barnes of Marked Tree and Shelia Haggerty of Toledo, Ohio; three sons, Bobby Gene Presley of Jonesboro, George Presley of Trumann and Jimmy Presley of Proctor; four sisters, Hazel Smith, Florence Tolbert and Frances Cox, all of Trumann and Nancy Marie Harrison of Cherokee Village; four brothers, Harold Presley of Cherokee Village, Raymond Presley of Memphis, A.W. Presley and Marvin Presley, both of Trumann; 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Miles Evans officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Terry Vaughn, Larry Gregory, William Gregory, Jimbo Presley, David Gregory, Eric Presley, Michael Gann, Matthew Barnes, Marty Wayne Brooks, Scott Presley, Earl J. Owens, Little David Gregory, Randy Hunter, Joey Haggerty and Shannon Owens.
