She was born in Union County, Miss., had lived in Calico Rock since 1983 and was formerly of Trumann. She was a homemaker and member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton "Tubby" Swindle and her parents, William Leslie and Mary Alice Holmes Thompson.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Overton of Enid, Ok. and Donna Walters of Savannah, Tenn.; one son, Harold Swindle of Calico Rock; one brother, James Thompson of Ecru, Miss.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 11, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Billy Moore and Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating.
Active pallbearers were Dennis Zimmerman, Arnold Williams, Mark Hayes, Todd Jenkins, Eric Jenkins and Levi Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Sheilds, Jarrod Shields, Valen Williams, grant Hayes, Chris Rowden, Clinton Rowden, Sidney Rife, Zach, Rife, Catie Rife, Tyler Jenkins and Taran Jenkins.
