He was born in Gholson, Miss., had lived in Mississippi for the past four years and was formerly of Trumann. He was a former employee of Parker Hannifan and the Singer Co. in Trumann and a member of the Shady Grove First Baptist Church in Heidelberg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minerva Lois White in 1996; two sisters; two brothers and his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Mammie Goodin White.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Alice Smith of Laurel, Miss. and Maybell Higginbotham of Philadelphia, Miss.; three brothers, Jim Henry White of Casa, Jack White of Heidelberg, Miss. and John White of Lepanto; several nieces and several nephews.
Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 18, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Homein Trumann with Rev. Larry Cockerham and Rev. Murray Ray officiating.
Burial followed at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
