William H. "Bill" Bishop, 69, of Trumann passed away on March 7, 2005 at Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro of natural causes.

He was born in Arbyrb, Mo. and had lived most of his life in Trumann. He was a retired supervisor for the Singer Co., farmer and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by one brother, AB Gaddis, Jr. and his parents, Louis and Zola Thorne Bishop.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry jean Walton Bishop of the home; Tammy Lois Terry of Trumann; William Robin Bishop of Trumann; three sisters, Wanda Grisham of Memphis, Anita Gayle Walton of Trumann and Elizabeth Mitchell of Ash Flat; one brother, Max L. Bishop of Jonesboro and three grandchildren, Trey Terry, Brittany Terry and Madison Terry.

Funeral services are today in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Barker and Rev. Bill Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Larry McMullin, William Carter, Gene Benson, KW Webb, Leroy Mary and Bobby Stotts. Honorary pallbearers are Clyde Robertson, Jr., Dr. Floyd Smith, Clifford Lynn Richardson, Jewell Spencer and CA Jones.
