He was born in Jonesboro and had lived in Harrisburg for the past 18 years. He was a 20 year veteran of the US Air Force and Vietnam War; a retired technical representative for Symbol Technology in Orlando, Fla. and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ellen White Teague and one brother, Lt. Commander James (Jackie) Erian Teague.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Pate Teague of the home; two daughters, Tanna Discher of Orlando, Fla. and Kendra Cornett of Christmas, Fla.; one son, Timothy Teague of Harvest, Ala.; his father, Erlan W. Teague of Harrisburg; two sisters, Linda Wilson of Bay and Diane Hawkey of Jonesboro; one brother, Michael Teague of Jonesboro and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. Burial followed at Willis Cemetery in Harrisburg.
Active pallbearers were Terry Osment, Kim Osment, Harold Osment, Earl Simpson, Grady McGuire and Pete Tharp. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Dunton, Lee Teague, Carl Ray Whie, Gary Moss, Roy Guthrie, John Coleman and Louis Layton, Jr.
