He was born in Rienzi, Miss. and had lived in Poplar Bluff for the past 45 years and moved there from Trumann. He was a retired farmer, while he lived in Trumann he owned and operated Black Cat service station and a used car lot, was a veteran of the US Navy and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Hill Prichard; one daughter, Ruby Loyce Prichard; his parents, Charles "Ben: Prichard and Ella Sloan Prichard Curry; two sisters and one brother.
He is survived by one daughter, Gail Davault of Cartersville, Ga.; five sons, James Prichard of Downers Grove, Ill., Edgar Prichard of Fairdealing, Okla. William Prichard of Highlandville, Mo. and Jimmy Prichard of Fairdealing, Mo.; five sisters, Ola Deboard of Trumann, Lorene Deboard of Trumann, Dorthea Reeves of Trumann, Pat Foote of Kalamazoo, Mich. And Linda Hart of Kalamazoo, Mich.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Maxwell officiating. Burial followed at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Delbert Reeves, Teddy Reeves, James Prichard, John Prichard, Webster Davault and Lee Prichard.
