Born in Lepanto, she had lived most of her life in the Central community. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Burney Ray Peeler of Harrisburg; four daughters, Susie Scott and Elaine Gibbs, both of Harrisburg, Alfrieda Hollihan of Trumann and Linda Madden of Tyronza; eight grandchildren, Collene Haney, Jennifer Shaw, Dodie Osment, Tammy Warren, Gregory Hollihan, Cresta Kain, Brandon Peeler and Jared Peeler; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Peeler; her parents, B.H. and Lydia Hendrix; three brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 2, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann, with the Rev. Boyd Hosman officiating. Burial followed in Willis Cemetery at Harrisburg.
