Janette Ione Blunt, 85, of Trumann died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Trumann Health and Rehabilitation Center in Trumann of natural causes.

She was born in and a lifetime resident of Trumann. She was a housewife and of Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Blunt; one sister, Edith Jones; one brother, Cecil Barnes and her parents, Oscar Joseph and Ione Buchanan Barnes.

She is survived by two brothers, Vernon Barnes of Trumann and Earnest Barnes of Elkhart, Ind. and three sisters, Lucille Prince of South Bend, Ins., Dorothy Prince of Goshen, Ind. and Helen Garrett of Jonesboro.

Funeral services are today at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers are Johnny Garrett, David Shuburte, Ronnie Jones, Lloyd Jones, Chad Bishop and Brad Bishop.
