He was born in Memphis. He was a graduate of Trumann High School and a big Nascar fan. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a truck driver, member of the Melton Ave. Church of Christ and veteran, having served in the US Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Clayton.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Deloach Clayton of Jonesboro; his mother, Frances Presley Cox of Trumann; one sister, Brenda Clayton Bryant of Worthington, Ohio; two brothers, Stephen Clayton of Science Hill, Kent. And Stoney Clayton of Goobertown; four sons, Shane Clayton of Jonesboro, Michael Wayne Clayton, Jr. Zacharay Clayton and Ethan Clayton all of Trumann; one step-son, Cody Watson of Jonesboro; three daughters, Candice Clayton, Shandi Clayton and Destiny Clayton, all of Truman and one granddaughter, Brianna Paige Clayton of Jonesboro.
Funeral services are today at 3 p.m. the Boliver Cemetery near Harrisburg with Mr. Nolan Glover officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
