Minnie M. Davis

Minnie M. Davis, 93, of Trumann died Thursday May 12, 2005 at the home of a granddaughter in Lacon, Ill. of natural causes.

She was born in Tennessee and had lived in Trumann for the past 62 years, moving here from Manila. She was a retired homemaker and a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. "W.O." Davis; two grandsons, Alvin Dewayne McDaniel and Tommy G. Davis; three brothers and her parents, Max and Sarah Clopton Davidson.

She is survived by one son, Vernon Davis of Trumann; one daughter, Lillian McDaniel Miller of Lacon, Ill.; four grandchildren, Sharon Fleming of Lacon, Ill., Rose Ann Hatcher, Sheila Coke and Timmy Davis, all of Trumann; eight great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann with Rev. Ricky Forbis and Rev. Gene Loven officiating.

Burial followed at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Darrell Rains, David Rogers, Mike Freeman, Gary Holmes, Jimmy Everhart and Kevin Beaumont.
