A.L. Jackson, 76, of Trumann died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Podeau, Okla. and had lived in Trumann for the past 19 years, moving from Bay. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Jonesboro and was a member of the Housing Authority Committee for Trumann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve Jackson and Bessie Jackson; two sons, Troy Jackson and Garry Jackson; three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by four sons and daughter's in-law's, Lucky and Mary Jackson of Jonesboro, Danny and Joyce Jackson of Bay, Jimmy and Linda Jackson of Jonesboro and Allen and Glenda Jackson of Wynne; four daughters, Penny Mitts of Jonesboro, Pammye and Russell Hill of Jonesboro, Tammy Frazier of Bay and Tiny Jackson of Jonesboro; one brother, Jessie Hutchison of Bay; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were this morning at 10 a.m. at Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland with Dr. Allen Jackson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
