Melba Quinell Henderson, 70, of Little Rock died June 24, 2005 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock of natural causes.

She was born in Caraway and had lived most of her life in Trumann before moving to Little Rock in 1991. She was a retired nurse, employee of the Baptist Health School of Nursing and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Henderson in 1990, one sister, two brothers and her parents, Samuel Franklin and Flora Mildred Lawhead Cowsar.

She is survived by three daughters, Phillis Dorrough of Little Rock, Sherill Archer of Sherwood and Connie Lunsford of Benton; two sons, Michael Henderson of North Little Rock and Barry Dale Henderson of Cabot; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Sunday, June 26, 2005, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dr. Jerry Wilcox officiating.

Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Steve Ryan, Joe Underwood, Odell Everhart, Jerry Heckman, Richard Geheb and Eddie Clem.
