Hilda F. Broadaway, 81, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center of Jonesboro of natural causes.

She was born in Philadelphia, Miss., was a homemaker and had lived in Trumann for the past 40 years, moving from Marked Tree. She attended the First Pentecostal Church in Trumann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Broadaway; her parents, William Antley Echols and Lena Daws Echols; one brother; two sisters and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by three daughters, Ann Childers of Jonesboro, Janet Allen of Marion and Patricia Flemon of Jonesboro; one sister, Greddie Mae Broadaway of Mena; one brother, W.A. Echols of Lunsford; eight grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 30, 2005, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Rich Hart officiating. Burial followed at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Lynn Childers, Harrod Childers, Barry Wayne Flemon, Scott Flemon, Bruce Flemon, Jason Allen, Ben Allen and Trai Flemon. Gary Can Allen was honorary pallbearer.
