She was born in the Frog Pond Community in Nettleton and had lived most of her life in the Trumann and Jonesboro areas. She was a housewife and member of the Central Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.A. "Bill" Lowery; two brothers and her parents, John M. and Bertha Campbell May.
She is survived by three daughters, Delois Case, Marie Penter and Helen "Cricket" Ballard, all of Trumann; one son, Jerry Wayne Lowery of Trumann; one sisters, Anges May White of Trumann; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 3, 2005, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Gipson and Rev. Bill Maxell officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leroy May, Gary May, Freddie May, Donald Hooker, Danny Hooker, James Hooker and Jackie Richardson.
