J. C. Qualls

J. C. Qualls, 70, of Trumann, died on Sunday, July 10, 2005 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born in Savannah, Tenn., and had lived in Trumann for the past 13 years and was formerly of Marked Tree. He was a retired group leader for Roach Mfg., and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers, and his parents, Elmer and Rose Smith Qualls.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Qualls, of the home; two sons, Ricky Qualls, of Houston, Tx., and Robby Qualls, of Trumann; four sisters, Marie Baker, of Trumann, Wilma Reeves, of Jonesboro, Faye Jenkins, of Harrisburg, and Emily Austin, of Savannah, Tenn.; one brother, Ottie Gene Qualls, of Trumann; and 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Shelby Qualls of Houston, Tx.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 15, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers were Johnny Cook, Gary Cook, Freddy Jenkins, Leonard Snell, Lloyd Snell, and Lesley Snell.

Honorary pallbearers were Bruno Guinn, James Reeves, Charles Headrick, Frankie Yeakey, Charles Loggins, and Jimmy Joe Chaffin.
