Mae Mannon Miller

Mae Mannon Miller, 82, of Harrisburg died Monday, July 18, 2005, at the NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro of natural causes.

She was born in Etowah and had lived most of her life in Harrisburg. She was a retired cafeteria worker at Harrisburg High School and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church She was preceded in death by two daughters, Valinda Fagan and Virginia Miller; her parents, Jim and Ruth Gann Mannon; three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Miller of the home; two daughters, Jeanette Parnell of Harrisburg and Merita Merritt of Jonesboro; two brothers, George "Bo" Mannon of Harrisonburgh, La. and Billy Mannon of Jena, La.; five grandchildren, Kim Passmore, Johnny Parnell, Jr., Jennifer Fouch, James Merritt and Ben Merritt and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, July 21, 2005 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Frank Hillis and Rev. Paul Peters officiating.

Active pallbearers were Ken Miller, Paul Miller, Jim Mannon, Jeremy Grant, Roger Patterson and Bill Moore. Honorary pallbearer was Barry Parrett.

Lasting memorials may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church, 3331 Hwy 163, Harrisburg, AR 72432.
