He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived much of his life in Arizona before moving to Trumann in 1988. He operated Speedy's Lawn Service in Trumann and was of the Protestant faith. He was an Army veteran, and was a member of the Trumann American Legion and the Trumann Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Irene Reed Marks.
He is survived by four daughters, Tammy Zapata and Dorene Marks of North Little Rock, and Patricia Marks and Cynthia Marks of Phoenix; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Zapata, Nick Zapata, Felicia Zapata, Amanda Barnett, Victoria Barnett, Dameon Smith, Jr., and Tyler Marks.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
