He was born in and had lived most of his life in Weiner before moving to Trumann in 1984. He was a retired farmer and member of the Parkview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Roberts; one brother, George Worden and his parents, Harve and Lottie Holland Worden.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Hurdle Worden of the home; one daughter, Joan Rutherford of Trumann; two sons, Harry Elwood Worden, II of Weiner and Homer Don Worden of Hickory Ridge; one sister, Nelda Taylor of Weiner; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, August 22, 2005, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Paul Vincent and Rev. Bill Maxwell officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers were Stan Worden, Randy Wright, Norman Smith, Steve Amaral, Larry Taylor and Jerry Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Fletcher, Cecil Daves, Buddy Helton, Roy Wilson, Ronnie Sammons, Jim Hardin, Bubba Reese, Zachary Irwin, Calvin Rutherford and Gerald Hunt.
